Directions relating to the date for commencement of proceedings arising out of a dispute as to acceptance by Lloyd's names of its reconstruction and renewal package.

Directions relating to proceedings arising out of a dispute as to acceptance by Lloyd's names of its reconstruction and renewal package. HELD: (1) In the interests of case management, proceedings arising out of disputes as to acceptance and renewal, or the consequences of acceptance of the package, including summary judgment applications by Lloyd's under RSC Ord.14, should be commenced no later than 16 May. This would enable the parties concerned to participate in Society of Lloyd's v Colfox and Others (1997 Folio 131) and Phillips v Society of Lloyds which were to come before the court in the second half of June. The court would facilitate the hearing of any such proceedings with those two cases as long as (2) It was provisionally directed that any further summonses relating to the conduct of future proceedings should be heard in the week of June 9 so that directions could be given to ensure all matters between all parties were decided at the same time in June.
